Good luck I have asked similar questions in the past and everybody seems to be very hesitant about replying. They all think you are asking where their honey holes are when really you are just looking for general info. I myself am curious about this lake as well cause and google just looks like bare slow sloping shore line with nothing to fish regardless of lake levels.

Mainly rocks and docks. Small cranks always do well with topwater being good some of the time.

Like Mr. Howard said, "DOCKS & ROCKS!!!" There is scattered stumps along the shoreline (as well as in the middle of the lake.) We are 10.8 feet low, so be carefull. We have got many of the hazards marked but we are low. Usually this time of year, cranks and spinnerbaits to the rocks, and T- Rigged, shakey-head plastics around the docks. Hope this helps, come by and see me at the office (right by the dam) or flag me down when I'm on the water. Be safe and make sure you have all of your safety equipment.

TAKE A KID FISHING, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO KEEP THEM OUT OF TROUBLE LATER!!!

cobraken got a very detailed PM from me yesterday. Hope it helps out some.

The lake is really low right now. But, the lake has some really nice bass in it. You just have to adjust for the low water level and you can catch them. It had some awesome smallmouth in it way, way long ago. But, they all died out. Watch for the sand bass and hybrids to be working the shad around McCarty island and capitalize on them waking some bass up when they start on them.

White spinnerbaits on points, locating the docks that have brush planted around them with your choice of plastic (watermelon red, junebug/red laminates, 912 Senko or a shakey head), cranking in either firetiger or crawdad along rocky banks that have deep water access adjacent to them.

Tommy you are a stand up guy I realized this from our short trip to Hubbard when we got blown off of the lake and since have had nothing to say but good things about you to everybody I meet. I was not trying to make anyone mad but my aggrevation comes from not recieving many responses when I myself have made these posts. Although I do believe that you did help me when I posted about HC and very much appreciate it and know that I can count on you and notice that you almost always do what you can when people ask. But sometimes it seems like if you are not a part of the little click on here you do not get any help. It is nice to know that there are a few guys like yourself out there and I am personally very glad to have met you and plan on booking another trip with you soon and hopefully the wind will cooperate with us this time. Once again I apologize about my previous post I was just aggrivated and smarted off before thinking about what I was saying first.

Nothing pointed at you my friend and nothing taken wrong on this end. You're right..... if someone comes on here asking for help, a lot of the time it may appear they don't get much help. But, the truth be known, a lot of us just send PM's with the needed information. As I said on HC, you guys are always welcome in my boat!

He really needs to take up the offer to drop by and see LakePatrolCop37. He will receive a ton of information and the direction to go from him. One of the really nice guys on the lake!

You can put in at the state park or by the dam. The dam ramp is not great but you can launch there. Stay to the right side of the ramp(if your looking at the water) the left side as some holes. Be careful!!!

The dam ramp is best by far. Not much left to work with at the state park. The mainlake point on your right heading into mountain view is good right now. Right out on the end. Small pop r early and firetiger medium running crankbaits most of the day. Same crankbait across the lake from the Christian camp(not the baptist camp) cove to the right. Also the island directly across from the state park. A black blue speed craw works well also. throw the crankbait right against the banks on rocky shores.

Also toad jerk, maybe there aren't a lot of responses because not many fish this lake regular. Most people I lknow avoid it. I have never had any problem getting general tips on most lakes.
