New here, I caught this bass in a local pond. Any estimates of the weight? He put up a tough fight reeling him across 40yds.

definately not 6 lol, more like 4ish...and if you hooked that fish in the tounge, it most likely swam away and died soon after. definately sad to see....

Every bass I've hooked in the tounge has bled pretty bad. I can't tell you if they will be ok or not, but I can tell you it's at no fault of the angler.

I have heard people talk about this. Either I haven't hooked any of the many bass I have caught in my lifetime or just haven't experienced it. Definitely no fault of the angler. Welcome to TFF.
