Fished from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on 23 ft hump near the dam and caught 62: 52 whites, 4 legal hybrids, 1 short hybrid, 3 cats and 2 keeper yellow bass. Almost all fish caught on the bait shown below:

That is a 5/8 oz silver Little Cleo spoon. I fished it like a Mepps and caught em nearly every cast. Tried a 3/4 oz Cleo but it didn't do as well. I've fished Little Cleos a lot in the past, and it was good to have such success with them once more.

Great report as usual. I have never fished C.C. Me and the wife are renting a place for a few days next week in the clear water bay subdivision.

The wife and I should be on the lake at least once a day ha ha. Hope to get on the fish. Might run into you never know.Very excited about the trip! John

I would be in a black 17 ft alum bass boat and wearing a black wide brimed hat. If I'm on fish I'll be anchored. Hope to see you and good luck!

Hey Dennis, didn't the old Little Cleo spoons used to have an image etched in the backside of them? If I am thinking of the same spoon. They also have a bend in them to make them wobble if I remember correctly.

They do have sort of an s shaped bend - looking at their profile. On the bottom side 3 things are stamped into the metal: "Little Cleo", the weight stated as "xx OZ", and "WIGL lure". The s shape makes it wiggle as much as a spinner spins. You can work it like a slab or spinner.

Nice report. We were out there on Memorial day. Found a hump in 25ft of water at the south end of the lake. Caught over 60 keeper whites while slabbin, no hybrids. All were released on a count of me having to travel back to Houston shortly after, no time to clean'em. How do you post pics on the forum?

Start your post. Where you want the picture enter:
[image][/image]
Open another browser window and upload your pic to a service like flickr.com. After it's there, right click on the pic and select properties. Highlight the URL address, right click it and select copy. Go back to your post and after the 1st ] and before the 2nd [ do a right click. Select paste. That should do it. You need the set of image w/brackets for each pic. It's cumbersome I know but that's what it takes.
