I feel your pain the same thing happened to me on a spinning rig about 10 years ago, that I had just bought for about $180. Shimano Reel and a Berkely Tactics rod. Dang theives just walk by a truck bed and look in them for a quick snatch and grab of anything valuble and it is gone. Have Leer camper shell on this truck and have not lost a thing yet and I emphasize the word yet! They will get their's down the road somewhere. Sorry for your loss.

Worst part is that you probably spent $125 buying a combo that was stolen and sold to the pawn shop in the first place. You're probably not the first guy mad about it being stolen!

If the pawn shop sold it for $125 they probably bought it for less than $75.... it may have been so hot it melted a hole in the bed of the truck and fell out!

SH** happens. I'm glad that I drive a SUV and my rods are protected by a sheet of glass. I never leave them in my car if I am not going to work (I fish after), or to my fishing holes. Hopefully the pawn shop you bought it from will get it back with a name and you beat that scum bag to... well don't beat him, cops will do that for you. Just assure karma will help you in finding a Shimano Core on a G Loomis for $85 at another local pawn shop and you acquire the deficit. Sorry about your loss bud, but thieves are everywhere.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.
