I think KVD gets better info. Denny would be hard to beat if you put them both in the same boat.

Bill Dance is. Seriously.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

I'm personally not a fan of KVD, but I would say he's the best there is.

He is no doubt the best right now, but I don't know if you can call him the best ever yet. Ol' Roland Martin had 9 AOY's. If and when KVD catches that there will be no debate. I'll give Roland his due but he wasn't fishing with near the talent pool KVD is today. He had the financial resources that few fishermen did back when he won AOY 9 times.

I think KVD gets better info. Denny would be hard to beat if you put them both in the same boat. How many replies did it take before we got to the "better info" bs. Blake, you gotta be kidding me. Denny is a legend, no doubt. And if it's a flippin' bite in flooded wood, Denny's always gonna be a favorite. But it ends there. Kevin is without question THE BEST bass fisherman alive. Roland has more championships, but not against the quality of anglers employing all the tools they have today. No way, no how is anyone even in KVD's league. Many are close. A bunch more aren't far off. But no one has consistently excelled at the top of their game, only to get stronger for as many consecutive years as KVD. I have a unique perspective in that I know the man and have had the honor of staying with him at a couple tournaments and hanging out at a few Classics. No one prepares harder or is more focused than Kevin. No one is as intense and no one goes to bed as early nor gets up as early. The man is the consummate professional both on the water and for his sponsors. He's a tireless worker and has earned everything he has achieved.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

KVD is probably the best tournament bass fisherman alive. Give the conditions of sunup to 3 or 4pm he knows how to get what he needs to win. A guy like Al Linder could give him a run for his money(not in a tournament). To me there are plenty of guides that are better bass fishermen than him. They can go out every day no matter the conditions and put thier clients on fish(and big fish), I'm not sure he could do that.

What about Hank Parker, Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston, Zell Rowland, Larry Nixon, Ron Shuffield, Denny was around a little towards the end. IMO it is unfair to say he didn't have to compete against the same talent pool that KVD competes against.

KVD finds big bass in tournaments---- don't you think if he fished the same lake every he could stay up with them?
I agree with fouzman. Also remember that when tournaments first started there was not off limit days and many people like Bill Dance fished with a guide before a tournament.

KVD is the best because he prepares well and makes changes on the water faster and smarter than anyone.
With these high caliber anglers, I would like to see how they do on random lakes, with little or no prep. KVD told me and some friends there are guys back home in his Bass Club that can and do whip him, he rolls all his excess gear to them to buy their silence!!! His words not mine.
He raises his game for the high profile T's.
Rick Clunn was on Lewisville fishing a BASS open after the classic this year, and he was average. That guys has forgotten more about fishing than I'll ever know, but he had no prep time for the lake.
I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP
