In my experience, hydrilla clears up the water in a lake. When it’s removed, killed, etc. the lake inevitably becomes more turbid. Lakes Jacksonville, and Hawkins are prime examples.

I don't understand why they are spraying it. There isn't near as much hydrilla as last year and there are no mats anywhere on the lake yet. There much more coontail this year around those docks than hydrilla.

I just randomly got that in an email from Sunny. I guess if any of you have any questions about the grass spraying, you can give him a call. He lives in Big Oak Bay and knows what is going on.

Sunny sent me another email today. He said he was just letting people know what is going on in regards to the grass and if any one has questions to call him. He has fished and been living on the lake for 40 years.

The people who live around the lake don't pay any more in taxes than people who live on similarly valued property around the city and county. The idea that they are paying the taxes and therefore should have a louder voice about how the lake is managed is hogwash.

Spraying the lake at this point is ridiculous. There isn't much hydrilla in the lake to start with. This is just a kneejerk reaction by lakeside property owners based on what happened in previous years.

And we can once again thank Richard Ott for being as cooperative as he always is when it comes time to screw up the fishing in a Texas lake. He never met a grass killing plan he didn't like.

Preach on Brutha! It is a huge waste of tax payer money this time for sure. The city council needs to take a strong look at how this money is being spent and who is receiving it.
