My dad, uncle, cousin and I fought the wind on Memorial weekend. We found us a cove and were worming for blacks. I caught 2 nice ones, smoking everyone else, until this happened.



That ended our fishing pretty quick. A little ice and a razor blade later, and I was his beer bi_ch the rest of the weekend.

That looks like it is gonna hurt a bit. When I was 8 I was fishing in between my uncle and my grandfather in a bass boat. We were bass fishing and using t-rigged worms. Well long story short I hooked my grandfather in the ear and it made him scream. I caught him going on the cast so I really drove the hook in. To boot I put a big knot on his head from the bullet weight. That was at lake Fairfield and he didn't talk to me all the way to Dallas. He did eventually forgive me.

When I was 14 I got one in the scalp. Bled like a pig but the greenish spawn was on. I kept telling him to cut the line and leave it and we would keep fishing butci guess he needed the lure back.

Yah, he tried to tell us to keep fishing and he would just sit quietly and wait until we were done. No way I was going to let him do that.

He was a trooper though. The best part was when we were telling my mom about it. We hammed it up pretty good with a huge bandage on the side of his face and everything. Then he pulled it off and showed her the little tiny band-aid. Nothing that a little scotch on the rocks couldn't fix.

Ah hell,that shouldn't keep a fisherman from fishing.Push it all the way through and tell him he got a free piercing.

that's why I always carry a pair of pliers/wire cutters. If the point's sticking out, just crimp the barb. If it isn't exposed, you do the mono popping trick. Or cut the eye off with the wire cuters and push that sucker through!

My wife got one in her finger this weekend on RC. Ended up putting her finger in ice water then cutting hook pushed it through then pulled it out.I know it hurt like the dickens because I could still make out some words she was saying even with the towel stuck in her mouth. I was proud of her though I didn't think she would do it.
