My wife and I put in at Cedar Ridge park on Belton lake this morning and we kayaked about 3 miles up into the creek i fished all the way up and back almost 6 miles and did not even get a bite. We got back to the boat ramp and there was a guy standing on the ramp and he caught two fish while we were loading up. That just aint fair!

yeah i cant complain about not catching fish today. I have had my days where i land a really nice bass out of my kayak right next to a $50,000 bass boat,LOL.
It was a nice paddle this morning even though my second outing with my baitcaster did not go well.

Them's the breaks--at least you got out there, which is more than I've done lately. Between work, daughter's softball tourneys and other sh!te keeping me busy, I haven't even wet a hook in months. Good for you for getting out there.

you need to make a sacrifice to the fish gods along the lines of cut bait or a lure being eaten by a bush. That will normally help out the lack of bites

Dave, Ren, & I fished the greenbelt. When dave & I are pulling out a guy and his girlfriend pulled out 4 crappie feet from where we had put in that AM  We must love the exercise too

I guess the rats nest i created from my second cast was not enough to satisfy the fish gods, LOL.
