Go for it. I'll bet the Power Pole was invented by some guy who "went for it". If you have the money and you think it will help you catch more bass, then do it. The bass fishing that most of us do has no rules. I'm going to spend $500 on new electronics for my new kayak, which cost me $900. Does the math make sense? No, but I bet it will help me fish structure better.

Does the Jon boat weigh enough for the power pole to dig in the ground? Or will the power pole just push up the Jon boat?

I say go for it either way if you keep the boat or sell it you will always have it. Its a long term investment thats how I would look at it.

If that is what you want sure would. I don't know how heavy there and how much weight it will add to the aft of the boat.

Call Kathy at Brannans Bass Shop and order your power pole from her and then install it yourself. Really not a hard install to do. Did mine last week. Kathy will absolutely beat anyone on price.

Would you ever put a power pole on a jon boat? thoughts please? Have you seen the comecials? A power pole belongs on anything, golf carts, lawn mowers, crawling babies, your credit cards (for your wife), and yes a jon boat would also fall into these catigories!!

Do what you want with your money. I put a powerpole on my kayak but had to take it off. It kept rolling and sinking my kayak. LOL

i was at amistad just lookin at all the boats pulling out of the water and there was a 15 foot jon boat with a power pole if u want to do it do it
