On the scrounger heads, what does the bill length do for the bait action wise? Iam curious as to why there are 3 different lenghts.

The long bill is for fishing slow and the short is for fishing fast

I just spent about a month really evaluating the scrounger head. I felt sure it had some applications that made it a good choice to have on at least one rod. However, IMO, at the end of my evaluation, I believe that yes, it will catch fish but it's not better than what's already out there like a chatter bait or spinnerbait. My eval is over and my scrounger heads have joined a lot of other tackle that's confined to my closet.

To each their own. I think what makes it work around my lakes is that Bass see so many spinner baits, the Scrounger looks like something different, and it's nice to be able to switch so many different plastics in short time. Something that can't be done with spinners or most chatterbaits.

A scrounger style head and a Dinero is a pretty neat combo.

I bought a few packs of them several years ago when they were made my Aaron Martens tackle company. I opened one package and the rest are still in the package hanging on the wall, I never threw them much. I think that company is no longer making them from what I read somewhere.

I'm only going to say this once then I will deny it from here on out. I have caught some giant bass on this bait. In certain situations it really shines. One funny thing about it is you can take it out and fish it and not catch a single fish the next day that's all they will eat. I still don't understand that but have learned if they aren't biting it that day just put it down........
