If I was fishing out of a jon boat that money would be going towards a new boat.

+1. Unless it's a 21 ft jon boat, no need to put a piece of equipment on it that costs more than the boat itself.

There is a forum member that has one on his bass buster

Also another member that post here all the time that has a side imaging on his jon boat. I cant remember either of their names at the moment

But if it works for you go do it. Dont worry if other people would do it or not. If thats what would work for you do it

Check out my YouTube channel as I fish out of my Native Titan 10.5 in Texas and Oklahoma reservoirs

That's why I still just use an anchor on my bass boat. Works just as well as a power pole for me, and I'm not out to impress anybody.

http://www.diginanchors.com/ http://www.wanganchor.com/shop-online/transom-system/ Here is a couple of options you could use and No I want pay $ 5000 for a set of power poles when I can mount a set of these on the back of my boat and if I only want to anchor in 8' or less of water the poles will fit in my rod lockers and when your not using them There not sticking up four foot above the transom in the way

When you say jon boat, I picture a 12 footer with a tiller motor on it. Your boat may be nicer or you may be more attached to it, I do not know. I would have a hard time dropping that kind of bank on an accessory like that on a jon boat.
