I have only been fishing for the last couple of months and a the buddy that has been guiding me is a bit of a carp freak. So hence I am now too. Been fishing a small local creek getting my feet wet and saw these big fish I wanted to catch. Well Saturday I pulled one of them out. Here's the pic of him and the simple setup I was using.

Nice catch Marc! Careful; they're addictive!  That simple set up is all you need for smaller waters.

Welcome aboard, man. Nice first carp! They're a lotta fun to catch, aren't they.
Agree with Bret, good call on the super cheap corn. It's got extra "chunky" kernals and those are the best ones to stick on a hook.
