For a while I have been struggling throwing weightless. Lack of distance, missed targets and backlashes. I was throwing a Revo ST paired with a Falcon LFC-157 Med/H weightless rod. I just switched reels after seeing how great the H20 Mettle was working out. No more problems and the distance is amazing. That reel has really impressed me so far. Heck of a price too! I may be selling a few Revos pretty soon.

Just thought I'd share.

Let, me know if you sell, I have two cara t7 weightless rods with revo premiers on them and love em. Glad you found something that works for ya.

+1 wormman! I have the Falcon Cara T-7 weightless paired with Revos as well. Regular T7 with an SX and Micro T7 with an STX. I fish weightless ALOT and i can chunk even the lightest plastic a LONG way. Love the sensitivity too. Can feel every slight bump even dead sticking.

I had a problem throwing weightless from a Revo SX, too, until I got the technique down. I found that the Curado 200E5 would handle weightless plastics much better than the Revo (there was a thread on this forum where a bunch of people were saying the same thing), so I tossed all my weightless soft pastics on that for a couple of months, using various rods. I recently tried again with my Revo's, and I can now bomb a wacky-rigged Senko or trick worm like a freakin' crank bait, with great accuracy! For some reason I had to learn the technique on a Curado, but now that I've got it down pretty well, I can use my Revo's or even my Black Max's to throw weightless without a problem. Couldn't do it without backlashing and only getting it out about 20 feet, six months ago.

I also have 2 falcon T7s with with revo premiers. one for weightless and the other for Texas. I like to use either Berkley trilene or Sufix siege. I think those work best for me. You'll have to experiment with mono and fluro to see which you like most.

It really depends on where I am, Fork I am throwing 17lb Sufix mono. That is my norm. I don't go less than 12lb anywhere.

We use a 783 or 843 MH with the silver Shimano Curado's with ease.
