I have seen where some of you have asked about these rods. I found a couple at the Academy in McKinney yesterday. I only purchased one so the other may still be there. The employee at the counter told me they normally will get a couple in on Wednesdays.

The second shipment of rods has reached the distribution center and should be funneling its way to the stores by now.

Tyler store had 8, 6 6'6" MH rods, one with a broken tip, 2 with loose guides, and 3 "OK". 2 7ft cranking rods, one bent hard to the left on the last foot, one bent gently to the left on the last 6 inches.
More than a little disappointed, last time they had them in they were in good shape, this time it looks like they threw them here with a sling shot from China. I was going to buy the wife a 6'6" one for a new reel I bought her from BPS but didn't happen, planned on buying myself one just to try out for a deep diving crank bait rod but both were bent.
Guess I'll suck it up and either go to BPS and get more carbon lites or break down and spend the cash on Low Riders.
