Fished Lake Lavon today in the wind. It was terrible. I knew that going into it, but I just got new rod holders installed(Bee Readys http://www.beereadys.com/beeFourRodHolder.htm) I was near the lake so we took her for a spin. There was no where to hide from the wind and I promised Nick I would put him on some carp with the fly rod. Met him at the ramp and off we went. Got a good cove to fish in and it was game on. Not bad for his 1st carp on the fly rod. took him into his backing two times and took all the backing at least once to where he had to basically swim after it!      Mike even got into the hard fighters.  The sun hit the spot they were in and they shut down. Fun for about an hour with 9 being caught. Good job and congrats on your first carp(s) Nick!
