Whats ur favorite line for C-rigging? I love the braid but doesn't mono keep your lure suspended a little better?

I use braid also when the water is a little clearer I will add a flouro leader on the end of it though.

Main line shouldn't matter as much as the leader material. Just use fluoro and whatever backing you are comfortable with and catch some fish!

On a light carolina rig I have been using 17lb fluro or less w/ no leader. I am stopping the egg sinker about a foot from the hook with a couple of clear carolina keepers.
On a conventional heavier rig I go with braid main line and flouro leader.

I like the new Spiderwire Fluro-Braid with Gore to help it sink. I use 40# - 50#. Because of very little stretch, I try to stay away from Fluorocarbon leader and have a tendency to use 15# - 17# Green Big Game. And, I use the BG because a lot of the baits I throw on C-rig are 3X baits that float and the Fluorocarbon brings them down. I only will switch if there is a significant difference in bite ration with my partners.

Braid main line with flouro leader no always braid unless there is a lot of rocks but the braid will save you those 7 dollar weights
