I do not have outriggers on my boat and since I always do a mixed bag of trolling and bottom fishing, purchasing good outriggers is to expensive a proposition. As an alternative I purchased a port and starboard "Amazing Out-Rover" and tried it out on Saturday. All 3 of us on the boat were impressed with their performance. They tracked very good and stayed outside the boat track even on turns they never converged but stayed on track. They splash and splutter with a lot of action. We had 2 blackfin tuna hits and one dolphin hit (lost it close to the boat) on them. They only cost $29 a piece.
As you can see from the photo we had a good day out there and the out-rovers played a significant role in it.

Thanks for the kind word guys. Bazztex I did not know that Out-Rover had a website. I saw their ad in the newest Sport Fishing Magazine. Yesterday my neighbor went to the same area that we fished on Saturday and picked up a 7' Sailfish trolling from one shrimp boat to the next. No blackfins but some nice dolphin.

Hey Kahuna

I just wanted to see what they looked like so I did a search..sounded like a Side Planer board system the way you described it. When I found their site I thought it would be good to post it just for general info.

Looks a lot simpler to fish than the old school side boards I'm used to.. Cool Product.
cheers

What I liked about them is the commotion they made in the water, just like some of these expensive teasers you can buy. In the beginning I thought they might scare the fish off but after connectig with 2 blackfins and a big dolphin trolled less than 10 feet from the Out-Rover I was hooked on them.
