If you hit a lake for the first time this Saturday, what would be the first lure in the water?

Would really depend on what kind of depth/vegetation/cover, but a yellow magic or a jackall TN60 would be the first ones making the splash...

A buzzbait is a good choice when looking for active fish on any lake.

Bass fishing is like a 30,000 acre golf course with no flags and five holes you can't see- Tim

I would start before sunrise, throw a buzzbait and a popper, and have a shallow running square billed crank tied on to also throw at every stop.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Banjo Minnow is really not even funny, I would go with a black and blue senko on an 1/8 sinker very versatile bait.
