The "Jug Master" Breaks into the Standings with a Trophy 10 inch Redear that he caught on Lake Dunlap Super fish. We now have three 10 plus inch fish on the board. "Jug Master" will take a solid third place in the standings. Good Job. The drought on the Redear is finally over with "Jug Master's" posting Will up date standings later tonight.

Thanks Guys, I lost 2 large fish today. 1 was a big yellow cat and the other was a big bass. Fishing was a little slow but always nice to be out.

Nice Redear Jugmaster, I have not been able to catch one big enough to post since last summer. Congrats to all you guys/gals/children for being able to land decent size fish.

"Jug Master" breaks the drought by catching a solid Trophy 10 inch Redear to take third place. He caught the fish on Lake Dunlap. The top three fish are 10 inch or better. It will now take a 10 inch fish to place in the adult division. A 10.75 will get the lead. There is still a very good chance we will see an 11 plus inch Redear being caught. We are now at the two thirds mark of the contest. Just eight days left and still some time to get that trophy Redear.

No standing changes in the Junior Division. It was been over two weeks since a junior posting. Rachel has a solid 8.25" Redear and is still holding onto first place. A 5.75" Redear will place in the junior division.

Contest is going strong with some very nice fish being posted. Let's see that 11" plus. Good luck.

Update.

Lana ends the dry spell in the Junior Division with a nice 8.50" Redear she caught on Lake Dunlap. Good job Lana. That fish put her in first place. It will take a 7.75" Redear to place in the Junior's. No postings for the adult division however Ed's wife caught a 10.50" Redear but the wrong pass word was used thus no entry could be made. Anglers are starting to find em. Got a feeling we will see a few more good postings coming down the home stretch.

No postings for 5-24-11. Memorial Day Weekend is coming up. Stay safe if you are on the water or traveling. Lots of people will be out this week. Last weekend of the contest. 7 days left coming down the home stretch. Wonder if we will see that 11" plus Redear?

Took the family to Lake Dunlap this evening for a little fishing. My youngest daughter Lana caught a nice redear and a few small gills. Here are the pics. She was so excited and thankful for being able to be in the contest.

That's a neat place to fish from the bank. Fished the island several times but from a boat. Nice photos. Congratulations to the young lady.

Congrats to Lana! That's a great size fish for the contest, it's nice to see someone's catching those redears - I sure as heck can't find any!

We enjoy that area. It is simple and easy kids can fish or swim and it shallow enough i can wade and fish where i want. Me and the wife plan on taking the canoe out in the morning to fish while the kids are at school

Super Job Lana! That is a super nice Redear. Looking at it's lenght it is close to 8.50" and that will give you first place in the Junior Division! I have fished the Dunlap Spillway alot and it is a very good place to fish. Will update standings above.

Well pooh. I finally caught a 10" this evening after catching a few in the 9" range earlier this week. Took my picture and everything was great. Read through the rules one last time to make sure I was doing everything right and there it was , plain as day "Public waters". Caught these on a 25 acre lake in my neighborhood. In fact, caught them in my back yard. No biggie. Its been a fun quest for the 10 incher. I had made up my mind to start the hunt for a 11 incher next. In the meantime I have caught some big blue gills, a couple of really nice warmouths, and some huge coppernose. I didn't even know we had them in this lake. Not to make any of you jealous but it is wonderful being able to walk out and fish for a little while anytime my heart desires. God has really blessed me. Oh well, good luck guys!

There are going to be some fun upcoming contest coming up this summer beginning in June. There is even going to be a kids 9 year and younger contest. Summer time is Sunfish/Blue Gill time and time to have fun with the family or simply relax at your favorite fishing spot. Rules&Fish for the June Contest will be posted on Tuesday 5-31-11. The contest word will be posted Tuesday night after 8:00 P.M. Stay safe and have a very enjoyable Holiday Weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend is here. This is the last Weekend of the contest and boy has this been a good one. Some super fish have been entered. Three trophy fish at that! Stay safe out there and enjoy the weekend.
