Due to the fact that I just payed of a couple of bills I am fixing to be able to upgrade into something new. These are the boats I am interested in and would like to here from some of the people that have rode in these two boats.
Thanks for the help,
Scott

If it is a choice of only those two boats, I think I would go with the Legend.

I have not been on the water in a Phoenix but from looking at them real close at boat shows the fit and finish as well as the gelcoat is WAY, WAY better on the Legend. The Phoenix has lots of unfinished edges and does not have anywhere near the attention to detail. Have you test rode both of them yet?

Of those two I would go with the Legend. They make a great Boat.

never rode in a Pheonix, but the legends ive rode in were both really nice all around...

my only complaint on a legend would be the front deck space, but the overall ride more than makes up for it IMO.

if the customer service is a good as people say it is... that should be a HUGE factor in your decision.

Gel coat is even better huh? and this is determined how?
The fit and finish on my phoenix is excellent.. all of the storage boxes are fiberglass with gel coat, the amount of usable storage space on a phoenix is phenomenal as well as the well laid out organization system..
The beam is wider on the phoenix giving more cockpit room, as well as the fully enclosed consoles make for no wiring showing anywhere.. the only space not completely finished with gel is in the bilge area where there is bare fiberglass..
I have a 2010 721, and a friend has a new 11 alpha 211
Yes there is more storage space in the phoenix, there are new and innovative features found on a phoenix not found on legend.. removeable console in 30 seconds- I love this feature and so does anyone that fishes with me.
net storage is in great location and easy to get to.
almost every bit of my tackle from my previouse boat fits in the front compartment nice and neat- it would all fit if i just put it all in there but my stuff stays organized to say the least..
The phoenix ride is second to none, being the best handling boat i have ever driven to being great in rough water..
It is every bit as stable a platform as my previose ZX225..
Phoenix and legend are 2 of the best boats on the water among others..
Ive spent time in a new legend and i think they are great looking boats, and would not have a bad thing to say about them.. but its just not the boat for me
Ride and decide.. and make your own decision
Plus the phoenix 721 is no slug with a 250 on the back!

Go ride in a Legend and then come up to Red Oak and ride in Derek's Phoenix and then let us know what you think! Everyone will be interested in the comparison.

That will be one heckuva write-up from first-hand knowledge, not someone else's opinions.

Keep us posted and good luck with the decision,

-Alton
