All those hungry GW standing at the weigh ins, if only they knew how many tickets they could issue watching you guys kill those sandies! Ya'll better look over your back before chunking them on a bridge!

Don't post that in the OT....they get mad at Wasted Game Violations!!

I knew you were.

I'm guessing some people think it's legal to do that....I'd be leary with those hungry GW hanging around Fork. I bet they charge you per fish!

I guess I'll let u guys in on my secret rig, that is if you want to be on the cutting edge of fishing Lake Fork technology, I believe this is the only place in the U.S where this works, imagine now you line coming from the rod down to a 3 way swvil, from there come down 18-20" to either a KT lure or Chart. slab, behind the slab, 3'or so, run a watermelon zoom lizard or your plastic bait of choice, now go back to the 3 way swvil and about 6-8" of line tie a chart/white fly on, now you got a LF special rig.
Once I get these packaged up, the price will be 29.95 ea +SH

My question is how did they get into the lake?! I don't mind the taste of sandies, but I have plenty of lakes to go too....RR used to be a decent lmb lake, and now it's a sandy hole. Wish TPWD would have a special 'no limit, no size' for sandies on Fork!

I don't understand this either. They aren't supposed to be in there, and while I don't think it is hurting the fishery now who knows in 20 years. Even with the no limit deal you would never get rid of all them, but you could probably return them to the level they were at 5 years ago fairly quickly. I had about 30 in my livewell one day. Still haven't figured out how I forgot to put water in it.

I have sent numerous emails and have had a lot of conversations with TPW about removing the length limits. They are not intersested. I am going to start a petition and hope for the best.

I dont post much but read everyday for info and much more for a good laugh while working a 12hr day. Havent been to fork in about 2 years, fished the charity tourny out of the minnow bucket on saturday and our 1st 4 casts had sandies on the end! A new pb an one over 3lbs but this is not why we come to lake fork. Found em shallow found em deep but the funny thing was when fishing deep(18-22ft) in the afternoon we only caught bass when we were getting the sandy bites! Never caught sandies on a rig before now. Cameron I dont personnally know you but have heard many great things about you and the outfit you run if you need any help getting a petition signed to help get rid of these things I would be glad to help save Lake Fork!

I know one cove the raccoons and turtles ate real good that night. Someone must have dump two limits worth on the bank. Guys just give them away to bank fisherman . There's alaways some around the Minnow bucket and public ramps at Fork.

Ray Roberts has been overtaken by Sandbass

I always heard how they get into lakes that are not stocked is by bird$hit or eggs being on birds legs
