My dad and I are taking a week long camping trip in Colorado and we will be fishing for trout. I need some good recipies that I can use to cook it.

Just roll them in corn meal and fry in bacon grease (my favorite)

or

wrap in foil with lemon or onions or tobasco and throw them into the coals of your campfire for a few minutes.

Sprinkle on a little lemon pepper and grill. It just takes a few minutes.





I've also smoked them on a Brinkmann water smoker.

+2 on the first one. I pull the meat off after they're cooked and throw it on a tortilla with some pico and maybe a little dirty rice.

We're heading towards the Pike's Peak area and will be camping right next to the Arkansas river.

I never go trout fishing without lemons. Stuff the cavity with lemon slices, sprinkle with a tiny bit of salt and garlic pepper. Wrap in aluminum foil, throw on the edge of the coals.

Step 2 (very important)- Open a beer and sit by the fire with your dad for about 5 mins then enjoy!

I've cooked trout many times. How do you guys get all the bones out? I've heard the meat just falls of, and it does, but there are always a few bones.

Grill in an aluminum pan with lots of butter.Cover with lots of salt pepper garlic onions and orange slices!

place in tinfoil with butter, onions, pepper and brown sugar crumbled on top. wrap it up and grill. great with salmon also!

Throwem on the fire and when they are flakey feed them to the dog. Not a trout fan here.

Well I din't get to try out any of these because I only caught one brown trout, but it got off the hook before I could grab it.
