Not the Trinity.

Its a pretty good drive outside of DFW, which is probably why the water is so clear.

Shaun, I love my neck gaiters. They are actually pretty cool, especially my light-colored one.

I got them at REI.

Yes there are. But there are no rocky cliffs that have a creek that wide running between them.

I have an older xfactor, and while I loved the idea of this hatch, I find it just slightly too big to open while seated. Plus mine is not hinged.

Nice fish.

Thanks everyone. I had a really good time taking these photographs, despite a few comical events. I had my first 3 keepers on a stringer, and when I pulled over to take a break and photograph them, I accidentally pulled on the wrong part of the stringer and they swam away. Luckily, it was a good day, and I caught plenty of other photograph-worthy fish.

I think they all come with the center hatch, but I'm not entirely sure.

I absolutely love the hatch on my Mini-X. I pretty much keep everything I need in there. In fact, it's almost part of my angling philosophy: if I can't fit it into my hatch, then I don't need it.

I don't really have any problems accessing mine, but I'm a pretty lanky guy. The good Lord blessed me with chicken legs.

does that center hatch ever leak? I had a cobra with a hatch on the floor area and it leaked slightly. I swore Id never get another kayak with a floor hatch

This spot actually reminds me a lot of the little creek at Turner Falls, which is an excellent spot if you guys are ever in the area.

A few years ago, I absolutely annihilated those bass with a snoopy pole and a zara spook. True story. Those little snoopy rigs are actually pretty fun.

Completely water tight.

I've filled the seat and footwell area of my kayak to test it. Works like a charm.

We'll just start drinking early so we can get to bed at a decent time. Bubba will just have to deal with it.

Honey creek is it's name. I have never been there when there was enough water to float, but I have waded it. Too many people at the falls now and access is limited.

My xfactor is 5+ years old. I stand on it and throw a cast net which usually puts a bunch of water in my cockpit. I don't think my center hatch leaks at all, however I have had 5 years of problems of scupper leaks in this boat. I wasn't very nice to that boat at an early age.

My hatch is not hinged though, and it doesn't float. Never been a problem to date, but I like the hinged idea much better.
