Sounds like that was a very good time indeed. I've often wondered if guides were worth it - sounds very much like a good one is definitely worth it. Congrats!

"MsSunfishDelight". If you really want to pick up some good methods and fish habits along with learning a lake I would strongly recommend using a guide. I have fished with Kurt three times and have learned a lot. I have also had some very enjoyable times catching some really nice fish. It is well worth it fishing with a guide every now and then. What you learn is priceless.

You must have lived close by Amistad at one time. I have only been on that lake a few times and I have loved every minute. I can see your point of view.

Congratulations to both you Mr. Banker and to Kurt on three very nice fish. Congrats on both records! I have also fished Amistad a lot but it has been awhile since I have fished it. It is truly one very Great Lake!
