Thinking about one of these. They are pretty pricy, but I have been on a boat with one and it's pretty cool how it GPS's a spot and holds it. It was moderately windy that day and it did a amazing job.
Appreciate any comments about them and whether they do as advertised. Are they worth the extra over a regular unit??

Pretty much works as advertised for me. It's not perfect and you have to learn how to use it of course. Electric control takes some getting used to.

I love it just for the fact I can hit the anchor, sit down and retie, weigh a fish, look at my gps, call my wife, whatever and not get blown across the lake or into the shore.
