I have read many good things about the Cabela's Flats Sneaker. Was going to order some today and find they are way outta stock. Any other recommendations? I have seen info on the Korker's Hyjack shoe/sneaker. Does anyone have any info on this? Also, do you wear any wading type sock?????

Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

I like my Simms flats sneakers with Simms wet wading socks. A lot of ankle support but not so much arch support, they only really bother me after a 5 or 6 hours of wading. I don't know much about the Korker's but the removable sole seems like a cool idea.

What size ya? I have a pair of Simms Flats boots (the high-top tennis shoe type), size 9. Used 1 time and look brand new.

I second the Simms wading shoes and socks. I also like the Patagonia version.

All of Simms stuff is first class...sorry we were out of stock, stuff happens...

I have a pair of Orvis flats boots that has served me for several years.

I assume that you are looking for it's use on the saltwater flats. If that's so, Patagonia and Simms are great. As for the Korker's Hyjack - they are great and most versatile from trout streams, the hill country, beach, jetties with all the soles available.

The Simms sneaker flat boots are the best.
Your friend Dave wears these also.
They are well worth the money.
If you plan on wearing these with waders you will have to go up one or two sizes.
On your next trip to Rockport you can buy at Seaworthy or Corpus, Roys

I'm way late on this conversation, but maybe someone will find it helpful. I looked at all the flats shoes before going to Belize. I almost went with the Simms boots, but ended up getting the simple cabelas slip-ons with the side zipper. They are smaller and lighter for plane travel(since i wear a 12). I fished in them all day and my feet were fine. They are easy to slide off and dump out the sand a couple times a day.

Definitely wear an old pair of socks or a wading sock and fold them over the top of the boot to help keep sand out. I use old socks and throw them away at the end of the day.
