I suggest tuna hunters from Chris at Islanders. I would stick with dark colors(blacks, purples) as they create more of a shadow in the dark. I would get both the original size and then the Junior size. Talk to Chris and see if he has any old stock left that he will cut you a price break on???? worth a shot.... I got lucky and he blew some old stock out the door prices for me($ 6.95 ea )... so of course I had to buy 14 of them.... SHould have enough for 3 years.
you can fish these out of the box...

I would think the glow colors would work well??? Is it better to get the dark colors instead? Thanks steve
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

ya got me on that one.. I just know in nighttime bass fishing, you use darker colors... I am sure the glow would work as well... just might have to beatoff the barracudas..lol..... My understanding is- once the tuna start busting the surface... they will eat anything on top...and a glow or dark color popper would help them zero in on the target.
also check out the frenzy poppers...

Original size, black/orange or black/purple, change the rings and hooks. Just my preference.

I love tuna hunters!
I've had good success with Yozuri Bull GT and Surface Cruiser too, but they can get expensive.
One topwater that I always carry 2 of (each color) is the Cordell Pencil, the biggest one.
The way they are weighted allows for a long cast, but I change the hooks and the rings.
My favorite colors are black/silver and blue/silver.

What is a good color for the frenzy flying fish?
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

SS Fireman We had good luck with all the Frenzy Ballistic Flyer colors but the best was the Sardine (Blue back /Silver Glitter Belly) and the Green Back /Glow belly. When Tuna get on a Wide Open topwater bite it wont much matter what you thow as long as you can get it out past the bright part of the lights. Bazz

bazz- this thunnus is pretty neat! I think you will be happy with it. It should sling a topwater 100 miles!! SOrry- it has fingerprints all over it now... lol!!
Those frnzy fliers.... wheres the cheapest place to get em??? I need some of those- forgot all about em! SSFIREMAN- theres also a stinger hook modification you NEED to do to the fliers.. better hookups.

Click here > www.FrenzyTackle.com for the Frenzy web site. They have a TIPS section that shows photos of how to rig the stinger hook on the Ballistic Flyer. Also not mentioned in the Frenzy Tips... If you are going to cast the Frenzy Flyer as a topwater bait you'll need to cut down the existing (Pre-Rigged) leader to about 12-14". You will need some large double crimp sleeves for the 200# line or use a smaller 100# Floro leader and crimp on your own short casting leader. Just remember YFT over 100# are very possible on these baits.. dont lob one out on lighter than 50# gear! Thanks for picking up my new reel Sk Ronnie! Bazz

dont forget the frenzy popper. Its a sinking lure but as long as you are reeling it at a fast speed near the the surface it can be a great lure. It has caught many tuna

I had two YFT's over 100# each smash the larger size of these at the same time and they broke my leader. Willie /TOO got one I belive was 90# on the smaller one. 7" 4oz Hand carved Wood Poppers finished in the Sardine pattern by Persuader Lures / Rick Bedford. I just got some in that were finished in Black back /Purple belly and Silver foiled sides. I hand carved the bodies but Rick at Persuader Lures brought them to Life... They look Awesome! Bazz
