Anyone know who can sew in the vents for the SHO motor cover in the Tyler area? How well does this one fit compared to the tuffskinz (As far as staying on full speed), tuffskinz logo just doesnt look as good as the original.

Get the cover you want then trace the vent areas with chalk and take to any upholstery shop and they can do it. Not too expensive either.

Mark are you using a tuffskinz or the yamaha one that has the real logo. Any comment on either if you have seen them or tried them.

I don't have a SHO but my last boat as well as this one has the vents in the Yamaha logo cover. The other boat I traced them as I posted earlier. This boat came with the cover. I like the branded ones myself as it looks more "factory".

Thanks Mark, thats what I wanted to know, gonna stick with factory branded one, just looks better. Did you leave the vents open or have a mesh sewed in?

Lady at the four way in Flint sewed them into my neighbors cover. No mesh just vents. He traced it with chalk and took it to her, looks perfect.

I've seen some that fit tight and others that appear thick as though they are insulated. Are there two seperate type covers?

The factory branded one has felt inner lining so it would be a little more insulated I suppose. The tuffskinz appears thinner. But if you look at the tuffskinz I dont like how the straps have little notches all the way around the bottom of it. Sure it is a good cover I just think the extra padding and the actual branded logo is better. Gotta get vents sewed in the factory as tuffskinz has theirs already. Plus tuffskinz can not do the actual SHO logo which I want, they have something close but not the same.

Yeah, you can roll the felt lining or get padding sew'n in from the seamstress or who ever does the vents. Either way it will work and look good.
