This morning I caught good numbers of slot reds while fishing the flats behind mustang island. Was using chartrusse super spook jr. with a stop and go retrieval. Fish seemed to be holding in little holes contained within the flats.

You seem to really be active out there. Do you live near Port Aransas? Are you planning to be out there this weekend? Maybe you could show us some good red spots since you don't really fish for them? What do you think?

I live on the Laguna Shores road in Flour Bluff. Its only about 5 minutes from the Island and the last road in Corpus before you hit the bay. And yes, I try and fish just about every day if the weather permits. Right now, I could tell you that reds will be good in the flats in all of the area behind mustang Island. I do have a few spots that I would rather not mention to the public. Also, if Im not busy maybee I can show you shamrock cove. If you dont already know where it is. Shamrock always seems to hold a few of those suckers. My email is outdoorsmanrsk@yahoo.com
