We stayed the weekend up at Beaver's Bend and this was the first trout he caught. We were fishing on one of the little bridges there and we literally stopped traffic with this one. Apparently this is a real nice one (I'm used to bass fishing) and cars were stopped and hollering at us wanting to know what he caught it on and congratulating him! All the people fishing the bridge were really making a big deal about it too. Very much one of those proud Dad moments.... He caught another just as big about 10 minutes later but this is the best pic plus he is sporting his Longhorn shirt well into Oklahoma!!

Thats a nice fish. Ive been going there for 20+ years and some people never catch one that big, but some time that is average. We went a couple of aprils ago and smallest fish all weekend was 2# and we had a rainbow 3.5# and 2 browns over 4#, and a 9# hybrid. Congrats on his fish, thats a hell of a first fish

very nice. i make a week trip to broken bow every year and mainly bass fish on the lake but i do fish for trout a little for a change. thats a nice one for sure, but ive seen some freakin monsters in the streams and the river lol
