Had a fun time slabbing up Sandies on GV. The east side of Murrel Park was covered with fish all evening. Birds were everywhere and the half dozen boats were scattered for hundreds of yards and seemed everyone was catching fish. There was no need for crowding since they were scattered.
TNT Magnum Magnets and Moe's SSS were the ticket. I think you could have caught them on top water but we were targeting the 13" to 15" fish under the smaller schoolies.

The Metal Flake chrome - 1 OZ type I like a skinny slab to drop fast. I think White would work too. the white/Chartruse "SSS slab" from Moes was what I used and my Partner was using the TNT magnum magnet(chrome metal flake) with a chartruce jig above for doubles.

I was out there last evening too. it was good even a wakeboarding boat blasting through the school then stopping in midschool to fish didnt disrupt the fishing

Was there too today. Hit the water at 5pm from Murrell Park. Didn't get skunked, but the 2 sandies I caught were a mere 6" long. From the boat ramp I headed eastward trolling cranks baits, inline spinners, swim baits, lipless crank baits, and spoons. Saw fish on my FF at about 25-35ft. The only the I didn't try was fish off the bottom with minnows. Maybe that's what I should have tried as well, but being in a kayak I couldn't stay stable and water was very choppy due to winds being more than 5-10pmh as forecast. Definitely no birds around at all.

Caught 4 sandies right outside Katie woods but they were gone before I knew it and couldn't find them again. Even tried the bubbles but not even a bite.

I made it out yesterday and did OK. There were fish at the mouth of Dove Slough around 3:00 PM in 26-29 ft. Most of those were small, but two other boats were also catching fish.

I decided to go west to the rock crusher area. Found some better fish there, but also more 4 inch and 8 inch sandies. Keep the slab close to the bottom.

Went looking for LMB in Twin Coves after that. Wanted to fish till midnight, but just decided to go home at sunset.
