I plan on going to Galveston across the ferry tomorrow to Port Bolivar for some flounder and reds if anyone is interested in going.
I live in Katy so let me know and we can meet up!

Hey Rogc,

I live just north of you in the Coppefield area and am planning on hitting the same area this weekend.

Let me know how you did. Are you wading or in a boat?

Got skunked! I was fishing off the bank and didn't catch a fish. Only saw a couple fish caught all day. Unfortunately it was low tide the whole time I was there so Im afraid it was bad timing on my part.

I went last week and caught a 25" Red and a 17" flounder. Good luck Bozo.

fishing bolivar is best on a high tide. when the tide moves out , so does the baitfish. unless you have a boat and can follow them out, your outta luck.

According to my tide chart it is going to be high tide all day on Sat. and Sun.

But the bad side of that is all the people that will be there crowding you.

G'luck,

I went to Cold Pass yesterday trying to excape the wind. I didn't even consider trying the more open parts of the bay around seawolf park because the wind was blowing so hard.

We ended up with 1 flounder and a nice big whitting. Caught a couple of specs that were way to small. Other than a couple of croaker and hardheads, that is all that we could get.

There wasn't any live shrimp to be had in Surfside.

There is always next time.
