Try any creek in the Sugarland area. There is plenty of water in the area. I have not fished it much but try oyster creek. Plenty of bank space there.

Thanks KatyCarper, I live within walking distance of oyster creek. There are ALOT of turtles there. Do you think they will give me problems if I use Maize and tutti frutti boilies?

Well I've never fished there but I can tell you from experience that any time turtles are present, they will make your life difficult as a carp fisherman, at least once the water gets to around 60 degrees and above. That said, they are just something we all deal with...don't let that discourage you from trying. And I seem to have more trouble with them with boilies than with maize, though they will bite maize too...just maybe not quite as much. I swear, if a carp angler someday finds the one bait that turtles won't bite, they will be sitting on a goldmine. I've heard tiger nuts, but I've caught them on those too.

If you can find access to the water you have a good chance of hooking up with carp, buffalo, and catfish. I fished at a friend's grandmother's place on Horseshoe lake and we caught several 20+ buffalo and a mid-teen common. Another friend caught a 20+ blue cat. The trick is to find the access.

Yeah, for horseshoe lake I couldn't find an access point on google maps without tresspassing. Bummer. Do you think all of the neighborhood lakes would have carp in them? I would think so

Any of you guys ever fish the brooks, char lakes I always come out skunked. Its a large water way. Any areas I should target instead of the main channel by the bridge. Its deep water. It looks pretty hard to prebait by hand.

It looks pretty hard to prebait by hand. You could always go out with a spod or a method blaster
