Per my contact at Academy, the next batch of rods should be getting here sometime soon. They did not realize they were going to sell so well and did not follow up with a repeat order soon enough. They are coming, just be patient!

The Longview store is out. I beleive they lasted about 2 days there before they ran out. And asking someone seems to never help they just tell me to check back on their shipment days. Nothing new for weeks now.

Wish they would get some in Tyler, I have a couple of homeless reels. They had them in Tyler but they went fast. I wish they would restock. Yeah, they had those last three forever but I couldn't decide if I wanted to try them or not and then they vanished. I guess I'll make a trip to BPS and pick up a couple more carbonlite rods if they don't restock soon.

What is so good about them and how much are they? reasonably priced and pretty darn good performance for the budget angler like myself. I plan on purchasing more in the future as the finances allow. I believe they retail for around $60 plus tax. Ive found my 7'6" XH to be quite light (enough for a full day of pitchin, casting) and extremely worthy of the duties set forth. I caught numerous LMB ranging from 4-9 3/4 lbs in one day, in addition to hooking and playing a massive grass carp (50 or so lbs). The rod performed flawlessly without faltering slightly.

Not sure if they are the same pole, but the Academy on North Tarrant and 377 has an H2O display on an end cap and they had three blue poles left. I wonder if those are the same ones ya'll are talking about. There were a couple of rod and real combos....I liked the poles (They were not blue ones..those were on the other side of the display) but the reels seemed kinda cheap. I'm all about budget fishing lol. I may have to go get one and try it.

The 3 in the display at north tarrant and 377 are spinning rods. There was one 6'6" casting rod about 6:30 but i had to get it bc it jumped into my hands. I don't need another rod but it looked to good to pass up. I will give it a shot.

Well...the Lewisville Academy is out. Fished Benbrook today and stopped by the Academy at 820 & Bryan Irvin...they are also out. Went ahead and bought a Duckett 7' Crankbait rod instead at Bass Pro tonight....after picking it up and putting it back a dozen times over the last 2 months (waiting to find an H2O crank bait rod)...I couldn't keep from buying it tonight...man it's so light!
Oh well....sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet!

I have already had one bust one when I was swinging a 3 lb bass in the boat.
It was 6' 7", Replaced it with a 7".
I hope my break was just a fluke, for the price of 60 bucks, they are great deals if they hold up.....
