I'm definitely gonna splurge on a nice new combo, so far I like a shimano curado on a carrot stick e21 rod. Does anyone have any experience with the carrot stick?

I like mine. It is not paired with a curado though. I wish it was.

I LOVED mine when the tip wasn't breaking off.

I have a Curado e7 paired with a 7'6 Heavy Carrot Stick. I use this combo for frog fishing and have pulled numerous 5+ pound fish from heavy vegetation.

I looked at the Carrot Stix a few weeks ago... compared it to the Veritas and Vendetta in the same length and action. That Carrot is a FEATHERWEIGHT compared to the other rods... so stinking light! If I take my Curado 200E5 off of my Skeet Reese cranking rod, I'm going to put it on a Carrot. I'm trying to swear off buying more rods right now, though, since I just bought 3 of the Skeet Reese rods from a TFF member for a great price. But when I "need" another new rod, I'm getting the Carrot!

FYI, my fishing partner has one that he loves. There were breaking problems early on, but he's had his for years and never had a problem... and he sets the hook so hard it rocks the boat. He's the one that talked me into checking them out, and I must say, they feel good!

Can't go wrong with the Curado, either... I have multiple Revos and one Curado, and each have their strong points, but if I could only bring one reel in the boat, I'd bring the Curado.

A nice IMX Loomis (maybe a 843c) is what I'd be leaning towards. I can pretty much do a little bit of everything with this rod, but especially love it for plastics and light jigs.

I have a Carrot Stix and was going to put my Curado on it but just couldn't get over the green/orange color combo so I put a Daiwa Zillion on it instead and put the Curado on a Dobyns rod.

If the Carrot Stix doesn't break, im sure you will like it. Mine is holding up fine. I use it for tx. rigging soft plastics and it is very sensitive.

I have a 7' Extra-Heavy carrot stick right now with a Citica on it. However, as soon as I get it in the mail from "lure buddy", it will be wearing a new Curado 200E7 with aftermarket bearings/drag washer smile

The carrot stick is the best TX-rig rod I've had.....LOVE IT!!

I've had the tip off the Wild Series break off twice, had them replaced both times. Funny thing is, they were broken on the cast, not on the hookset or boat flip.

I have 3 Carrot stix and love them, I have had 2 of them for 3 years and never had any problems with them. My partner also uses them and he has never had one break. They are very sensitive rods with great backbone for hooksets.
