Here's mine.....

Me and a fellow sandbasstard were fishing one morning. We had at least 6 rods out, all were in holders with the clickers on. All of a sudden one rod starts going off in the center of the boat....near me.....!... I guess I was busy tending to shad tank or digging in the cooler, all I know is I look up to see the "captain" of the boat lunge towards the now screaming rod. At this time everything is in slow motion. I see my buddy moveing not towards the rod but to the bottom of the boat.....in the calamity he bent the stern light pole, dip net and broke a paddle!! And busted his knee. I laughed so hard at the look on his face when he looked around at all of the damage! It was the "what the he!! Just went down" look!
I've been laughing the whole time I've been typing this post! It doesent sound all that funny but if you knew the two of us and would have been there......... it was priceless!

it's the crapy days that make the good days that much better!!!

my 10 year old daughter was on my FIL bass boat with us and we were sitting on top of a crappie pile fishing. She was up front with her paw-pa pestering him good. All of a sudden he turns and makes like he is pointing at something and yells "what's that over there!"
His out streched arm swept her across the chest and over the side of the boat she went. I watched the whole thing in slow motion. Her eyes got the size of dinner plates as she was flying backwards toward the water. Her arms were flayling like windmills.
After she hit the water started to paddle back toward the boat I had to pull her up because her paw-pa nearly fell off the otherside he was laughing so hard.
She is officially a member of Paw-pa's swim team now. The charter member from 20 something years ago of course was her mama. . .

My wife and I were on Grapevine lake drifting for catfish one night and one of my buddies and his wife were in their boat drifting about 30 yds from us (had to be close enough so the ladies could talk back and forth). About 1 am, I noticed his wife was no longer fishing, but instead, had laid a blanket on the back deck of their bassboat and was sleeping. I slowly crawled over the side of my boat into the water. I then swam quietly up to their boat (he saw me heading that way so it was no big deal) and I reached of the side and grabbed his wife's ankle. She woke up screaming, kicking and cussing..

I think I wouldve paid him back with a Team Catfish # 10 super circle! I dread the day I ever get that monster stuck in a hand or finger!

Most of my friends know my fear and hatred of snakes, don't matter what kind. They always think it's funny to set up a dead one where I'll unexpectedly find it. They really get a kick out of hearing me scream like a girl and amazed at how fast I can get out of an area.

Was out throwing lures on one pole with a second pole in the water baited with doughbait. Doughbait wasn't getting any hits so I decided to pull the pole out and set it behind me to make more room for me to work the bank.
Not five casts later, I watched as my Quantum spinning combo flew over my head and into the lake. I had drawn back to cast, hooked the lure onto the Quantum pole, and accidentally launched it forward at full-force!

Several years ago, me and my ole buddy Lumpy, took his waterbuster and went to Leo, which is kind of out in the boonies and we asked permission to fish a flood control lake there.

We were fishin and I was using one of those little shiester spinners, you know the ones with the little feathers in the 3 way hook, anyhow I was catching a bunch of fish, and Lumpy was trying to catch a big fish, well, somehow while I was casting Lumpy got his ear in the way of my cast and that little 3-way hook with the feather got stuck in the top of his ear, so we headed to the bank and cut the other two barbs off the hook and he said we needed to load the boat and go to the emergency room, that's when I saw it, he had a pair of those needle nose vice-grips on the dash of his truck, I told him I can get it out with these, after some discussion he agreed to let me pull the hook out,

Well, the hook had went in through the top of his ear and back into it with the barb again, when he finally told me it was ok to pull, I really wasn't aware just how tough the skin on a person's ear was, anyhow, his head moved but the hook didn't, ooh, he was in some pain rite then, he said we got to go to the Dr. and I said, I almost got it, he couldn't see it anyway, so he agreed to let me pull it out after some more discussion and when he told me he was ready for me to pull it out, I made sure it came out this time, he was mad at me for a little while but we were still friends.

A few years later same waterbuster, different lake, we were catching some nice bass on top-waters, well when a fish blows up on the topwater bait ole Lumpy sets the hook, only it missed the fish and came streight at me, and stuck me about a 1/4 inch below my lip with one of the trebble hooks on his topwater bait, we clipped off the other two hooks and the front set of trebble hooks and went to my house, and he was tryin to get me to go to the Dr, he told my wife and she thought we was jokin until she saw it close up, I told them I wasn't goin to the Dr. I would try to push the hook through, and walk around a little and push some more and walk some more, finally I pushed it through and cut the barb off and pulled it out,

I guess we are pretty well even, but you never know, we still fish together!!!
