New to this lake, can anyone tell good colors for this lake? Does it have a good population of shad or crawfish? Shallow spots to avoid or key spots to try? Is there any grass?

-deep clear water lake -no grass, some deep wood that line the river channel and in some of the coves -yea there is good forage in the lake, shad, crawfish, and bluegill -throw whatever colors your comfortable with, (clear water natural colors) -Lake is heavy with ski traffic now that spring/summer is here so be careful and the water level flucuates alot!!
There is a friday night tourney that starts at 7 and ends at 12 if u care to night fish... Its out of reds cove marina

I catch a lot of bass in there on soft crawfish imitation plastics. Anything from brush hawgs, zoom speed craws, rage craws.....any shade of green, pumpkinseed, or browns.

Thanks for the info...I had a nice Saturday morning fished for 4 hours, my neighbor and I boated around 8 bass and lost 3 or 4 at the boat. All were small but nice action at every spot we fished! thanks again Will.i.am and Kyle46N.

I just beat the bank usually...don't know the areas but it was on the river channel area not in the coves. Try a crawdad color crankbait and crawfish soft plastic. You need to get there early before the jet skiers.
