Motor will run fine, but after a little while there will be a very faint beep within the throttle housing, then the motor turns off and will not respond to turning the keep (no beep either). The same beep I hear when the ignition is turned to accessory.

I have traced the wires leading from the throttle housing back to the motor. When I moved these wires around and leave the ignition in accessory I hear a beep and the motor fires. I have checked all of the connections and can see no apparent issues.

Does anyone have an idea of what else this issue might be or what part may need to be replaced?

The motor is a mid 90s, 125hp, w/carb. Not sure about the hidden mount or remote key.

Loose connection possibly at the key switch. ring terminals come loose if not properly installed. or if you wiggle the harness at the motor and it then beeps, Then unplug the harness and spread the pins with a thin screwdriver or tip of knife.

Thanks bear. I spread the pins and let the motor run for 10 min without an issue. Hopefully that works.

Thank Again!

Anytime. Call me if you have any issues. I'm not on here too often.
