Anyone here get on the lake much? We are looking at purchasing a Lake house there. I have never fished the lake. Anyone have some useful input? Thanks.
Posted this in the bass fishing section previously. Want to see what kind of input I received here.

I have a friend that lives on the lake, west side near the dam. He loves the lake and catches crappie and catfish from his dock all the time.
Put the plug in.

I drove all around that lake one day. I know there is only one access to the lake and that is at the boat ramp. No way to fish it unless you live there or have a boat.

Brad, I have been working on and fishing Palo Pinto for over 20 years. There are three ramps on Lake Palo Pinto. The best is by far the one on the Gordon side of the lake. There is a dock to tie to when parking your trailer and it is not very busy. The second is at what is called the marina. That ramp is a terrible uneven two lane ramp with no good place to park your boat. The 3rd is called Love Ramp. It is a very long steep one lane ramp that is hard to find unless you are local. It is still good when the lake is low. There is access to some bank fish at the power plant discharge when the lake is just a little low. Also people fish from the causeway at the channel. The crappie and cat fishing is nothing short of awesome. The bass fishing can be challenging at times even for me. There are some great places to fish. I sell bait in Gordon and am always willing to help my customers catch fish. If you buy that house stop by some time and hopefully I can offer up some advise that will put some fish in your boat.

SamH, where is your store? I plan on making the trek from Granbury in search of crappie, so I will need some minnows.
