Put your finger on the top of the bass' tongue if there is a grisle like patch on the tongue it is a Kentucky Spotted bass.
This is proof positive.

I have caught a few largemouth with a tooth patch on the tongue. Definitely not the best indicator. The best indicator though is the mouth. If the jawline goes past the eye its a LMB. If it goes to the eye then it is a spot. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdpubs/bkbass_diagrams.phtml

Thanks guys, I thought it was a largemouth...just curious. I've not caught a lot of spots, and a lot of times i dont check jaws, tongues, etc. This one I just wondered about...I was 95% sure it it was a LM.
