I've been on Caddo several times and know places like Goose Prairie, Alligator Bayou, Clinton Lake and Government Ditch. I've been bass fishing with artificials each time. I'm wanting to take my 8-year old son. He has Asberger's syndrome, so his attention span isn't too long for fishing if he isn't catching something. So, I'm going to get some live bait and just see what we can catch. Can anyone give me some advice on where to go with some minnows and I can catch some crappie, catfish, sand bass, or whatever?

Crickets at Old folks Playground and some BIG caddo perch is the way I would go. Caddo has some great perch fishing.

We were there this weekend. We went out Saturday monring with worms. Could not get bit by anything but little perch. Got crickets and filled the basket with big blue gill.

That is what I would suggest doing. Just put the trolling motor on till you find them. Once you find them they will bite as soon as it hits the water. When it stops keep moving and find some more. No need to stare at the bobber and wait.

Old Folks Playground with crickets for bream. Then across the channel to Sand Island for the same. Move around till you hit them and then stay on that spot. Love Caddo!
