I've been on Caddo several times and know places like Goose Prairie, Alligator Bayou, Clinton Lake and Government Ditch. I've been bass fishing with artificials each time. I'm wanting to take my 8-year old son. He has Asberger's syndrome, so his attention span isn't too long for fishing if he isn't catching something. So, I'm going to get some live bait and just see what we can catch. Can anyone give me some advice on where to go with some minnows and I can catch some crappie, catfish, sand bass, or whatever?

Alligator around the docks is always good with live bait.

This time of year, crickets or worms around any island (sand, jap, little green break, tar, etc) will kill the redear and bluegill and an occasional bass. He won't be bored.

Get some crawdads and you'll catch yellows, and occasional goggle all day at devils elbow.

stay in the river channel between big lake and johnson's. let him throw a rattle trap for a little while. the sand bass should whack it. then, tie on a worm or minnow and a bobber in the same area and he will catch fish...
