On the water at daylight. Never could get a frog bite going. 2 blow-ups no hook ups. Threw a Srike King sexy shad trap along the front of pads. 2 around 2 lbs. Flipped docks and pads till 11am. 2 more around 2 lbs. Never could get a pattern figured out. Did hook into a nice fish in the drop off in front of pads. Never saw 'em, straightemed my hook out and came off. 4 fish. apprx. 8-9 lbs. Surprisingly only 1 wake boat out. Nice morning though.

I fished it yesterday evening from about 6-9PM. Caught about 8 fish, biggest was about a 2-3 LB 15 incher...fat belly. Only fished from The ramp up to the Dam and then down a little past the no wake zone. Had a really good bite the I missed on some cypress knees.
If I were to fish the lower part, I would probably focus on mid to shallow cranks paralleling pads and drop offs next to really shallow water. Fire Tiger has been working in that stained water at the bottom of the lake. Caught a 7 the other day off the pads.
PS.. Upgrade your hooks on your crankbaits...Mustad Triple grips or gamakatsus.

I'll report that I was out there on Saturday for a half hour just running the boat, didn't fish, but saw several trailers at Schumans ramp and several boats fishing my spots. Thus, I summize that the reason we are not seeing any reports was because they were fishing my spots, which hold no fish.

Go out FM 725 and I think its the 2nd road to the left past the red light at the Valero. Follow it all the way to the end, you will see the ramp

Friday at Dunlap, I tried a lot of random spots(weren't mine anyway), but all I caught were small fish. One on buzzbait, 1 on T-rig worm, 2 on T-rig centipede. I sure worked hard for 6 hours. Where/how are the bigger fish?

Yes, but I could not find the flavor you like. My fish had to settle for watermelon with blue flakes. I've never been on a lake with so many houses and docks,.....per acre of water. I get to practice my pitching, except that I'm doing something wrong, or I need a different rig. I'm ready to try again, tomorrow (Wednesday). But, I haven't decided between Dunlap and Canyon. When are you going out?
