Fished the same spot most of the week. It gradually slowed down throught the week to 5 fish on Wednesday. Fished with Bad1 and his son yesterday with 31 each. This morning winds were from the West and it was on fire! 103 fish myself with 3 under Hybrids and one carp. Had a 17" Hybrid that I thought I had a lake record on..turned out that I had tail hooked it casting through the schools. WHAT A FIGHT!!!!
As soon as the winds shifted from the North it was off. Looks like I'll be hitting elsewhere this weekend with the North winds in place.

You are right, Lewisville is fished out. One of these days I'll figure that out. I keep thinking that I'm catching fish when it's just these modern day lures looking so realistic I think that they are the fish. My fault, sorry for the misinformation. smile

Haha. It's been slow the past two days with this north wind. I've found them I'n ultra shallow water running shad to death though. I've caught several larger fish but not the 137 like last weekend. I've shifted to the opposite shore line to play the wind. Good luck gents.

we (SETH, wifie Deb, and I)fished all over the lake this am a few sandies a nice crappie and only undersizeers on the hybrids. on shad. Just after daylight. late in morning we switched to rattle traps trolling. again only undersizers. a lil breezie under the skirt but we were all layered up and bundled up for the frost like adventure. Wifie and Seth both said they want to do it again.

Dave - sorry I wasn't able to join in on the fun this week. Hope to get at 'em this week though!

Glad to hear that the "Sandy Whisperer" hasn't lost his touch! grin

Yeah Ron, I've been dreaming about fishing too. The other night I dreamed that we were fishing on your 'toon. Dreamed that I got a big fish on, lost my balance and fell over the side.

Woke up on the floor with the dog licking my face. rolfmao

Yeah, no point bank fishing on LL. No fish there anyway.

Nice haul Dave! A question for the Lewisville boaters. Former Texoma guy who is new to Lake Lewisville. Planning to go out there this weekend. What are good and bad places to launch my trailered boat? I am coming from the East side of the lake down 121.

Any advice would be appreciated!

AJ

Pier 121 Marina would probably be the easiest access from the east..
