bass pro shops pro qualifier reels. Have owned every reel at every cost and I can tell you these reels are the best value for the money. Usually 99 bucks at store but the store always matches the internet price. Sometimes that price is as low as 64.99!! Available in every speed and built like a tank yet still light and versatile. Started buying them when shimano quit making the old green curado's (The best reels EVER!)I own 7 of them along with some citica's. If you have to spend 200 +, go for it, but for that money, you could get three pro qualifier's. My oldest one is over 3 years old and I have yet to have the first problem with it. And NO, I dont work for bass pro shops! lol

You should give the RevoSX a try. I'm a die-hard Abu fan. Still, I'm not afraid to admit that I have had problems with the RevoS series' level-wind. However, I've never had a peep of trouble from a SX. Guys tend to be dead set on using Shimano or Abu and don't like to mix, so make sure you wouldn't be happier with another Curado, haha. I always palm my reels and the Revo line just feels better in my hand than the Curado or Citica.

I can't believe I'm the only Zillion fan in the thread! shocked jk guys all of the suggested reels are great, and I've tried the new SX's and they perform flawlessly. I guess my Zillion's extra hundred dollar tag has me hooked on it! smile But a suggestion that has been yet to be mentioned is possibly a used Chronarch. Read many posts on them and they seem to be just as quality as my Zillion's.

STX has more titanium parts. Thus, a bit lighter.

STX also utilizes both types of breaking systems!! They call it the Infini brake.
