Headed down to Port A tomorrow for the weekend. I usually fly fish in fresh water but plan on trying my luck this weekend in the salt. Thinking the jetties, Bob Hall pier at night and maybe trying the packery channel out as well. I have several size spinning rods and even bringing an 8 wt fly outfit.
I'm a little discouraged because the app on my iPhone (FishTimePro) is saying this weekend is a poor time to fish. Just hoping someone can offer me some words of encouragement. I'll be bringin down my kayak as well. Any advice/insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Steve

Fishing depends more on the wind and tide than anything else.

That phone app is useless in salt water. Bet on tides and tidal movement.

Thanks for the information guys. I'll check on the tides and wind and go from there. Looks like the wind will be light and the temps will be perfect.
Thanks!
Steve
