I'm planning a week long camping out at tawakoni this june. I was wondering what campground is best for bank fishing for big blue cats, and whether they will still be shallow(<6ft) by then? The campground isn't really an issue since we'll be camping out of a tent. We'll have kayaks but we would prefer to just get a camping spot that has good fishing instead of having to paddle there and back every time we want to back to camp. Any tips/suggestions will be appreciated

I've camped in the state park and caught good numbers of eaters off the bank there. You can get a site with water access. Also, fishing off of the point near the swimming area is pretty decent.

When in doubt, set the hook.

Take a look at wind point park too. It may be best for kayak fishing. There is a lot of shoreline and plenty of waterfront campsites.

So what depths should we be targeting, and what would have a better chance of catching 30#+ blues? drifting with one or two rods out of each kayaks or sticking on the bank with 4-5 rods a person? Thanks for the suggestions guys, can't wait

Just got back from fishing at the campgrounds by anchor inn marina. Caught a total of 10, nothing big. Biggest was around 4-5 pounds. Using shad facing the wind. The bite was really slow tonight, had to move 3 times. I don't know if this little cold front shut them down or what cause this spot is usually pretty good. I would definatly camp at this spot! Sorry no pics, nothing worth posting but better than sitting on the couch.
