A question to anyone who fishes Lake Livingston, specifically the area near Onalaska, and out of Penwaugh Slough. Has the open-water white bass action kicked into gear yet. I know the wind has made it very (literally) rough to get out there as of late, but sometime in the next week I'd like to head up that way and check out my old Month of May white bass haunts ... the 190 Roadbed, Pine Island and Dove Island. Those fish on a slab spoons and a dozen or so juglines baited with Large-Size Black Saltys are just the ticket for cabin fever, in my case at least, but I hate to drive up there if the whites have yet to turn on. Many thanks to anyone who has a second to give me his or her take on this. ... Boz
