I know TPWD is looking at some pretty stiff budget cuts. Has anyone heard if this is going to effect their hybrid stocking program for 2011 and future years?

LAKE TAWAKONI SPORTSMANS ASSN...raises money every year to stock Tawakoni with hybrids for everyone to enjoy....not sure if TPWD will put any in this year but...WE ARE ....fish will be delivered in a few weeks ..better get a permit if youre gonna do it

If this is any indication no Hybrid stocking will take place Statewide. That can't be a good sign that no one is getting any hybrid stockings this year. I may drop them a line:

That also says that no largemouth bass will be stocked and they have already been stocked many places. I suspect that production will proceed as normal this year.

I just dropped them a note. I was thinking the same thing. Their search tool has to be out of whack or something. Otherwise where did our license fees go?

On RC today (5/11/11) TPWD was stocking Black Bass working out of Oak Cove.

They said they are stocking Hybrids Soon (this year NOT from the Dundee Hatchery (to much GA problems from years past- which we know the problems that had resulted in with our stockings over the last several years) but from the PK and San Marcus hatchery this year.

Hope that works out better for us � we should know soon what we get,

But - If we can pull together about $700,000 - we can Supplement TPWD's Stocking like Tawakoni does every year,

Our biologist says We are on the calendar if the fish are produced. 2011 is already cleared...2013 will be the question mark.

Well if they don't stock Bridgeport like they have been I'm gonna have to start eating the green trash fish to compensate!!lol

BTW Keith I think I saw you on Sunday.....I was fishing with my son in the white bluewave.

This is great. I am not a fan of tournaments , but this is for a good cause.
I wonder if we could get a permit to stock Barimundi in Fairfield ?

What do you think it would take for us RC fisherman to get an association together similar to tawakoni? Sure would be nice to know you had a stocking coming every year. I would be more than willing to lend a hand to put something like that together.

Man I hope TPWD can continue to stock these monsters hybrids in north texas lakes ... my favorite fish to target for sure. Mark you are right - maybe we could do a fund raising tourny to get some traction going on for the RC Lake, i have fished the Tawakoni tourny for several years now and it seems to be helping. just a thought good luck clete
