Saturday we were catching lots of fish on wind blown secondary points. Squarebill, lipless, spinnerbait and chatterbait. The chatterbait produced the better fish.
There were lost of shad in the area and the fish were gorging on them. I think the shad were trying to spawn. Points with hard bottoms were better.
I know other had lots of bites on buzzbait but it was overcast this past weekend. You can probably catch some better fish slowing down with weightless plastics. I know some had good success with that pattern too.

there on Sunday, catching fish is NOT a problem. Catching the right ones was. I had boat problems and couldn't go where I had located some better fish so..... Caught fish on topwater all day but as stated earlier, it was overcast, and sunny, and the wind blew. From the south, the west, the north. In between all that, it rained.. Caught a lot of fish on square bills, spinnerbaits and topwaters. Never could get a decent fluke bite going though..but I know some who did.

Lots of fish biting. As mentioned, key is finding the right ones.

5/5,6,7/11, I caught fish on a buzz bait, in about 4-6' of water. In the mid lake region in the stump fields. I only fished the first and last 2 hours of the day light. The bait fish were really active. I feel that is why I had success. The bait fish slowed when the sun got up and so did the bass. I watched several people in the same area during the day from my porch, but did not see them catch anything. I think the bass are pulling back to 8-12' during the sunny part of the day. Came back with a cold, so I was slow to post. Good Luck
